Festival Internacional de Música Clasclás

The International Music Festival clasclás is held, every year, last week of June in Vilagarcía de Arousa. It´s organized by the Vilagarcía de Arousa City Council through the Professional Conservatory of Music, an act of direct public management.

The beginning of the Festival was in  2018 and derives from the educational, social and cultural need to enjoy music, promoting a change in society through art and culture. 

The greatest success achieved by the festival is, without a doubt, the response obtained from the public. Involving new audiences by creating new audiences has been and is one of the biggest and most important challenges of the festival.

The festival is organized around several interconnected Programs:

- Artistic Program
- Pedagogical and Masterclasses  Program
- Social and Community Program
- Clasclás Matinée
- Clasclás a pé de rúa

The clasclás is a timely and necessary festival for the entire surrounding society, which demanded greater involvement with classical music; It is inspiring and stimulating and goes beyond the fact of listening to music, seeking to impact, educate and improve the lives of our audience; It is diverse and enriching because it provides opportunities for participation and collaboration to the entire community without distinctions; It is appropriate and consistent since it is carried out from an educational center, the Professional Conservatory of Music, which also participates through its different programs.

The festival's commitment to quality and artistic excellence has always been a priority, protecting musical tradition and mixing it with new approaches and perspectives; because of this, renowned national and international musicians and ensembles perform masterpieces from the classical music repertoire accompanied by emerging artists, resulting in unforgettable concerts.
