Festival Internacional de Música "Las Navas del Marqués"

Las Navas del Marqués International Music Festival (FIMLasNavas) is held during the summer (June, July and August) in one of the most privileged places of the Spanish geography: less than 1 hour from the capital of the country, surrounded by pine forests and with historical vestiges such as the Magalia Castle and Palace that, in addition to being one of its venues, converts the attendance to the concerts into a unique experience.

The FIM Las Navas has been held since 2010, sponsored by the City Council of this village and under the artistic direction of Zenobia Música, with Maite Seco and Rupert Damerell.

Throughout these editions it has become the largest representation of cult music in the entire region with differentiating values ??such as:

• The ability to attract to Ávila the best groups on the international cultural music scene: Ensemble Plus Ultra, Alamire, Stile Antico, Voces8, The Marian Consort, De Profundis, Clare College Choir and Sidney Sussex College Choir from Cambridge`s University , San Justo Youth Choir from Buenos Aires (Argentina), Westminster Choir (USA), British Wind Orchestra Kew Wind Orchestra, Internationaler Chor Hildesheim from Germany, Singing Sensations Youth Choir from USA, New York Youth Orchestra, etc. In addition, each year, we have the participation of Maestro Peter Phillips, Director of the world-renowned Tallis Scholars.
• The international character reflected both in the artists who take part, and in the students of the singing courses linked to the Festival: International Singing Week and Tallis Scholars Summer Course (the only one held in the world at the moment).
• Closeness to young people and new audiences, through the content of the “Festival of Young Promises”.
• The new proposals each year, such as organ cycles, conferences, educational activities, etc.
• The great dedication to early music, carefully cared for, attracting the best world formations in this field: Ensemble Plus Ultra, Alamire, Voces8, Stile Antico...
• Prestigious labels such as the EFFE label (created by the EFA, European Festival Association) and Festclásica.
