Schubertiada a Vilabertran

La idea de realizar una Schubertiada fue concebida por Joventuts Musicals de Figueres a partir de las organizadas en Austria en los años setenta del siglo XX. La Schubertiada a Vilabertran abunda en programas en torno a la música de Schubert y contemporáneos, al modo de las Schubertiadas originales. Ocasionalmente se ha realizado algún estreno por encargo del festival, más clases magistrales, conferencias y exposiciones en torno al músico.
El Monasterio Románico de Vilabertran transmite una tranquilidad especial y las viejas piedras sirven de perfecto escenario para una sesión dedicada a Schubert.
La próxima edición ofrece la presencia de Matthias Goerne, Juliane Banse, Angelika Kirchschlager, el Cuarteto Casals acompañado por el Kuss Quartet y el pianista Iván Martín.

The idea of presenting a festival devoted to Schubert originated with the Figueres Young Musicians after those organised in Austria in the nineteen-seventies. The Schubertian Festival of Vilabertrán presents programmes centred on the music of Schubert and his contemporaries in the manner of his original works. World-first performances have been an occasional feature of festival commissions, along with master classes, conferences and exhibitions relating to Schubert. The Romanesque monastery of Vilabertrán creates a particular tranquillity in which the ancient stones impose themselves as the perfect backdrop in which to enjoy sessions dedicated to Schubert.
